NEO Xenos' Giving Finishes Strong in 2005!

Happy New Year everyone!

We at NEO Xenos have great reason to be "Happy" this New Year! After being short by almost $1,000 in our November 2005 giving and starting off very slowly with our December giving, we had many of you step up to the plate and give VERY generously to our fellowship, and as a result, we closed out December with a monthly giving total of  $18,347.29, which is $9,430 OVER our monthly budget!

This is such a large answer to prayer, and we are so thankful to everyone in this Body for giving what they did in 2005. Thank you too for fulfilling your pledges!

Speaking of pledges, to plan for 2006 we would like to receive all the pledge forms by this Sunday, January 8th. For more information about what our pledge system is all about, or to fill out a form online, please visit http://www.neoxenos.org/ministries/fst/index.html.

PLEASE REMEMBER OUR FINANCES!

In November we increased our monthly budget to $8,917 - a couple thousand dollars over our previous budget. However, as a Body, we felt the Lord was leading us into new endeavors and we were ready to financially meet that challenge. We're stepping out in faith!

While it is great that we did increase our average giving - and thank you to so many who were faithful in their giving - we were still short by $814.

Unfortunately, December's first week of giving was pretty dismal - $983. This means in the next two weeks (since we have no Central Teaching on the 25th), we need have $8,748 in giving to meet this month's budget, plus make up for last month's shortfall.

Please keep our finances in your prayers.

A Thanksgiving Thank You

Two months ago Ginny Bradley, a missionary from Cameroon, came and visited Xenos and told us a bit about her missionary work there. Many people came to hear what she had to say - over 30 people! Here is a thank you from her that we just received in the mail (scroll down for the text of what the note says....)

"Dear Friends in Christ,

This is a very belated thanks for your generosity to me when I was with you in late September. I enjoyed so much sharing with you and meeting Joel and Kathy's fellowship group. Praise the Lord for the love for Christ and commitment to Him that I saw in your group! May he bless you as you share Him and the good news of the gospel with others.

Your gifts were a help in meeting expenses of life here in the United States. One thing about life in Cameroon: it is not as costly financially!

I looked up the website for Xenos Christian Fellowship and was interested to see the information there. One of your contributors (board member?), John Piper, has been our spiritual retreat speaker in Cameroon, and we so appreciated his ministry.

Thank you for your 'fellowship in the Gospel'!

Yours in Christ,

Ginny Bradley (relation of Marilyn, Howard, Joel & Kathryn Hughes)"

Outreach Cards Are Here!

Like promised, we have printed up small (business card size) cards that are available for you to keep handy in your wallet or purse. The purpose of these cards is to support you in your outreach, so when you invite someone to a CT you can hand them one of these cards as a reminder of your invitation, as well as an easy way to show them how to get to our warehouse! For convienence, a map showing our location is printed on the back.

We want to take advantage of our space at the warehouse during this next year, so please pass these out liberally. If you don;t have any yet or run out of the ones you did get, please send an e-mail to hello@neoxenos.org or stop by the Welcome Booth next time you are at CT.
